Accurate Heating & Cooling

Our roots date back to 1977, when Tom White founded Accurate Heating, Cooling & Plumbing after beginning his career with Carrier Corporation. Trained as an engineer, Tom built our approach around a straightforward belief: great customer service depends on quality, responsiveness, and value. We have grown by caring for the people at the heart of our work—our customers and our employees—and by building relationships that extend beyond a single service call.

In 2011, Michael Linton joined Tom as a partner to expand our geographic reach and services, and we later added plumbing. Humble Heating and Air Conditioning in Washington Court House and Clayton Holbrook of Laurelville joined our team in 2012. Our connection to Portsmouth began in September 2013, when Air Concepts, Inc. partnered with Accurate. In May 2017, we purchased Fox Mechanical’s assets, including its 16,000-square-foot Lancaster office and warehouse, and Joe Fox joined us. This expanded our plumbing capabilities and larger mechanical work. In January 2018, we acquired Hite A/C & Refrigeration to strengthen our refrigeration services.

Today, our experienced and highly trained team works in heating, cooling, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical services. We support both residential and commercial projects, bringing together capabilities in sales, service, equipment replacement, and larger mechanical work. We remain locally owned and guided by Christian values, with honesty, trust, and ethical conduct shaping how we serve others. Tom and Michael remain active in our work, pursuing the shared goal of honoring God in every aspect of what we do. We strive to provide outstanding service at a fair price, create a positive workplace with solid wages and benefits, and use our success to give back to our communities in meaningful ways.

We make scheduling convenient, begin each service with an estimate, and offer free estimates for system replacements. We also answer the phone and offer same-day appointments whenever possible. Whether we are helping with a heating, cooling, or plumbing need, our focus is on dependable workmanship, responsive service, and making sure our customers are satisfied with the result.
